The Hydrogen Valleys Facility (H2V Facility) accelerates the development of Hydrogen Valleys across Europe by providing dedicated Project Development Assistance (PDA), including technical, financial, and legal support to help projects progress towards a Final Investment Decision (FID).
Funded by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, the H2V Facility supports the European Commission's ambition of having 50 Hydrogen Valleys operational or under construction across the EU by 2030.
Running from 2025 to 2030, the Facility provides comprehensive non-financial support through three complementary pillars:
- Hydrogen Valley Platform – Showcasing flagship hydrogen projects from Europe and around the world at different stages of development—from pre-FID and construction to operation. The platform offers valuable insights into hydrogen project development and implementation.
- H2V Knowledge Centre – A collaborative knowledge hub for the wider hydrogen community, providing guidance, best practices, practical resources, and opportunities for exchange to support projects at different pre-FID maturity stages.
- Project Development Assistance (PDA) – Tailored support for Hydrogen Valleys throughout their development journey. The PDA Light track helps projects progress from initial ideas to robust concepts, while the PDA Plus track supports projects from the concept and feasibility stages through to Final Investment Decision.
