International Collaboration with Japan
For more than 15 years, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and Japan’s New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organisation (NEDO) have been working side by side to advance clean hydrogen technologies. In June 2024, this long-standing relationship was formalised with a Cooperation Agreement.
The collaboration centres on sharing knowledge, holding regular exchanges on key topics such as electrolysis, hydrogen refuelling for heavy vehicles, hydrogen carriers like ammonia, and hydrogen combustion, while also contributing to global standards that will support hydrogen deployment worldwide.
