Youth Engagement for the European Green Deal and a Carbon-neutral Society with Hydrogen
October 13, 14:30 - 16:0 CEST
The workshop, hosted together with the Institute for International and Cross-Border Cooperation (ICBC), will bring together different players to discuss ways of involving young people in policy change, in particular looking at the energy transition – one of the policy areas highlighted in the Interreg Youth Manifesto. At the core of the European Green Deal lies the need to fight climate change. Hydrogen technologies are an important part of the overall solution for meeting the 2050 climate-neutrality goal of the European Green Deal. The involvement and support of the younger generation is essential in order to increase confidence in and acceptance of these new technologies. We will bring together local and regional authorities, industry and business sectors and young people to learn from each other and see the impact that young people can have. The possibilities, as well as best practices, will be presented at the session.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to state their views.
