
We are seeking expertise ranging from basic research to large-scale industrial demonstrations, and covering both technical and management aspects.
Role Overview
As an evaluator, you will play a critical role in selecting the next generation of hydrogen innovations.
- 💻 100% Remote: All work is conducted via individual assessments and online consensus meetings.
- 🤝 Collaborative: Work in panels of 3–4 experts to agree on final markings.
- 💶 Paid Service: Experts receive reimbursement for their time and work.
- ⚖️ Independence: Evaluators must have no conflicts of interest (you cannot be part of an organization applying for this specific call).

📝 How to Apply
To be considered as evaluator for the 2026 evaluations, please complete the following two steps:
- Register in the EC Database: Sign up or update your profile on Work as an expert
- Complete the EUSurvey: Use this survey Expert evaluator for call HORIZON-CLEANH2-2026 to confirm your availability, declare your absence of conflict of interest, and specify your technical topics.
Important: Please ensure both steps are completed by 1 March 2026.
Please be aware that completing both steps does NOT constitute a binding offer and that your availability does not mean that you will automatically be selected. Before being able to fix the list of experts, we need to make a number of checks and take into account a number of parameters to ensure diversity (i.e. areas of expertise, nationality, gender balance, background, etc).
Following the 15 April deadline, if you are selected, we will contact you and ask you to sign an expert contract (directly with you, NOT via the organisation you are working with).
