Formerly known as the European Hydrogen Refuelling Stations Availability System (E-HRS-AS), the platform has been relaunched as H2-Stations with an enhanced scope and a new user-focused approach. Its core objective remains unchanged: to provide reliable, up-to-date information on the location and operational status of hydrogen refuelling stations, supporting users, operators, public authorities and the wider hydrogen community.
H2-Stations offers free and open access to both static and dynamic HRS data at a European level. The platform brings together a range of complementary tools, including a real-time HRS availability map, a portal with dedicated dashboards tailored to different stakeholder groups, supporting documentation and guidance, and access to standardised, AFIR-aligned data through export APIs. By harmonising how HRS data is collected, shared and reused, H2 Stations makes station information easier to access and more consistent across Europe.
The platform is also designed to play a key role in supporting hydrogen refuelling station operators and national bodies in meeting their reporting obligations under the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR). It is designed as a practical and evolving tool that contributes to high-quality, harmonised data provision at EU level and supports the effective deployment of hydrogen refuelling infrastructure.
The H2-Stations platform is available at www.h2-stations.eu. Stakeholders are encouraged to explore the platform, make use of its tools and provide feedback to support its continued development. If you are interested by this project, please reach out to us at h2-stations
