The large-scale deployment of renewable hydrogen must go hand in hand with sustainable water management to support Europe's path to climate neutrality, in line with the European Green Deal and the EU Hydrogen Strategy.
As a key driver of Europe's clean hydrogen economy, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership accelerates the development and deployment of innovative hydrogen technologies, helping to bridge the gap between research and market uptake while strengthening Europe's global leadership in hydrogen.
Recognising sustainability as a cornerstone of the EU hydrogen sector, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership commissioned the study “Sustainability of Water Use and Management in Renewable Hydrogen Production”, carried out by RINA Consulting in collaboration with the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation and SoftWater.
Join us on Friday, 10 July 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 CEST to discover the study's key findings and recommendations. Participants will gain insights into:
- Water requirements across renewable hydrogen production pathways;
- Challenges and opportunities for sustainable water use;
- Recommendations for efficient and responsible water management;
- Practical solutions for water-smart hydrogen deployment, including strategic plant siting, desalination integration and circular water management approaches.
The webinar will also explore how policymakers, industry and researchers can work together to ensure a sustainable, resilient and competitive hydrogen economy.
Join us to explore the water–hydrogen nexus and help shape Europe's hydrogen future.
