
The European Hydrogen Safety Panel (EHSP) is inviting applications from leading hydrogen safety specialists to join its Technical Expert Pool. This is a unique opportunity to contribute independent expertise to the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and help shape the safety framework underpinning the global energy transition.
As the Clean Hydrogen Partnership’s principal independent safety advisory body, the EHSP provides expert guidance at both project and programme levels. The Panel serves as a centre of excellence for hydrogen safety, delivering objective technical assessments, promoting best practices, and advancing hydrogen safety knowledge across Europe and beyond.
Application Deadline
The current selection cycle is now in its final phase. Applications must be submitted by 30 June 2026.
We encourage qualified specialists from industry, research organisations, academia, and regulatory bodies to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Members of the Technical Expert Pool play a vital role in supporting the safe and effective deployment of hydrogen technologies. Responsibilities may include:
- Reviewing and assessing project safety plans
- Contributing to the development and update of hydrogen safety guidance documents
- Providing strategic technical expertise through workshops and expert consultations
- Supporting the analysis and management of safety-related data and findings
- Sharing knowledge and best practices across the hydrogen community
