We are pleased to announce the appointment of Valerie Bouillon-Delporte as the new Executive Director of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, effective 1 June 2024.

quote

"I’m honoured and thrilled to join the Clean Hydrogen Partnership as Executive Director. Since its inception in 2008 it has brilliantly demonstrated its true value by making hydrogen technologies a key pillar to support the EU in its aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. These years of supporting research and innovation have put the EU in the global lead for key hydrogen technologies, covering the complete value chain. I will be fully committed with my whole team to make sure that the Clean Hydrogen Partnership will support, through its programs and actions, both industry and research stakeholders in order for them to remain at the forefront of hydrogen technologies. As a public private partnership, we have this unique opportunity to create a robust hydrogen value chain in Europe" said Ms. Bouillon-Delporte.

Ms. Bouillon-Delporte brings a wealth of experience to the role, having dedicated her career to advancing hydrogen technologies.

Prior to this appointment, she served as the Hydrogen Ecosystem Director at Michelin, where she played a pivotal role in the development and deployment of hydrogen solutions. Her leadership extends to her tenure as Board member and Co-President of the French Hydrogen Association, as well as her coordination of the H2 Mobility France consortium.

Ms. Bouillon-Delporte has also made significant contributions as the former President of Hydrogen Europe, the European association of hydrogen industries. Additionally, she has chaired the governing board of the Fuel Cell Hydrogen Joint Undertaking, the precursor to the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, where she championed research, technological development, and demonstration activities in fuel cell and hydrogen energy technologies across Europe.

Ms. Bouillon-Delporte will take over from Mirela Atanasiu, who acted as ad interim and acting Executive Director for the past year and will continue supporting the JU in her permanent role as Head of Unit of Operations and Communications. "It has been a pleasure to ensure the success of the JU and its programme office team while committing an unprecedented budget of EUR 500 million over the past year and starting all current JU activities. I warmly welcome Valérie Bouillon-Delporte and look forward to continuing our efforts together to advance the development of the hydrogen economy within the partnership " said Ms. Atanasiu.
