Up to 42% (22 Mt, or 730 TWh) of total hydrogen demand in the EU in 2050 could be located in port areas, shows the first report of a study conducted by Deloitte Belgium for the Clean Hydrogen Partnership.

Today at the Clean Aviation Annual Forum, the Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking (Clean Aviation JU) and the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (Clean Hydrogen JU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a strategic cooperation on research and innovation in hydrogen-powered aviation.

The presentations from the workshop “Towards an EU Roadmap for Hydrogen Valleys", which took place on 28 February and 1 March 2023 in Brussels are now available.

€30M funding granted to the project by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership following its 2022 Call for proposals, will enable the coordinated roll-out of 150 trucks fueled by green hydrogen, bringing zero emission targets for transport closer.

The event on ‘Repowering the EU with Hydrogen Valleys: showcasing innovative solutions’, brought together over 300 leading stakeholders from the EU hydrogen community to stage the EU R&I support for a clean energy transition and end our dependence on Russian fossil fuels.

The Clean Hydrogen Partnership, the European Hydrogen Valleys Partnership and the Northern Netherlands region are organising the workshop “Towards an EU Roadmap for Hydrogen Valleys – Regional actors and their role: double the number of valleys by 2025 and build-up skills".

The Clean Hydrogen JU is looking for experts to evaluate project proposals in different application areas.

Interested parties are invited to review the document and send any comments through the comment sheet by the 15 March 2023.

9 Hydrogen Valley projects will receive EUR 105.4 million funding to boost hydrogen economy in Europe.
