Introduction
The Innovation Investment Package and Horizon 2020
The proposal for FCH 2 is part of a wider €22 billion Innovation Investment Package, which includes proposals for 4 other Joint Technology Initiatives (namely Clean Sky 2, Innovative Medicines Initiative 2, Electronic Components and Systems (ECSEL), and Bio-based Industries) as well as 4 public-public partnerships. The EU funding for FCH 2 will come from Horizon 2020, the next European framework programme for research and innovation, which is due to begin in 2014.
