Description
The EMPOWER project partners are pleased to invite you to a webinar on methanol powered fuel cells, their applications and the potential of renewable methanol. Methanol is a promising alternative as an energy vector in a hydrogen society to replace fossil fuels.
Agenda
1. Introduction of the project and its partners (VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland)
2. Renewable methanol - the production and potential applications (Blue World Technologies)
3. Methanol FCs in different applications, such as CHP, marine, mining, transport (VTT Technical Research
Centre of Finland, Blue World Technologies)
The EMPOWER (European methanol powered fuel cell CHP) project will develop, manufacture and validate a methanol fuelled 5 kW combined heat and power (CHP) system based on high temperature PEM fuel cell technology. Project partners include VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd, Blue World Technologies ApS, Catator Ab, University of Porto, and THT Control Oy. This project has received funding from the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen 2 Joint Undertaking under grant agreement No 871967. This Joint Undertaking receives support from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, Hydrogen Europe and Hydrogen Europe research.
Please note that the scheduled time is 14 January 2021 15:00-16:00 UTC.
