Game Changer Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysers - Online Workshop - 17th June 2021

The workshop “Game Changer Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Water Electrolysers" comes from an initiative of the FCH JU Neptune and Pretzel projects to discuss next generation polymer electrolyte membrane electrolysers. The “Game Changer” aims to identify a major step improvement for water electrolysis looking to novel solutions mainly developed at intermediate Technological Readiness Levels to significantly increase performances of the electrolysers.
The scope is to contribute enhancing flexibility of operation of PEM electrolysis and reducing the hydrogen cost. Specific innovation aspects regard PEM electrolysis operation at larger current densities, higher temperature and pressure compared to the state-of-the-art.
The workshop will cover specific discussions about material development, degradation effects, stack and system development. A link to demonstration activities and national plans for developing advanced green hydrogen production technologies is also included.
