By joining forces, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and the IEA, as coordinators of the CEM Hydrogen Initiative, have the pleasure to invite the hydrogen community to meet in person in Rotterdam, for the Joint European Hydrogen Ports Network and CEM Global Ports Hydrogen Coalition event. This joint event aims to present the first results of the study on hydrogen in ports, providing insights in future H2 demand and supply. The event will also facilitate discussions around the viable business models which can be developed to fully reap the benefits of the hydrogen economy.

Moreover, the event will feature a forum of discussion to share policy-related opportunities and concerns. The European Commission’s Directorate-General for energy will be present to share their point of view and discuss the steps to be undertaken from a policy perspective to kick-start the hydrogen economy. In addition, the Global Ports Hydrogen Coalition will use the opportunity to discuss a set of policy recommendations for governments to support ports in scaling-up their production, transport and use of low-carbon hydrogen. The policy recommendations will feed into the Clean Energy Ministerial meeting in Pittsburgh on 22-23 September.
