The EU Hydrogen Research and Innovation Days 2025 took place on 24–25 November 2025 at the Sofitel Europe Hotel in Brussels.
Building on the legacy of the former Programme Review Days, that year’s event served as a key platform to address major challenges, showcase achievements, and explore future directions in hydrogen research and innovation. The gathering aimed to strengthen Europe’s leadership in developing a sustainable, competitive, and resilient hydrogen ecosystem.
The 2025 edition highlighted progress across the Clean Hydrogen programme, providing a high-visibility stage to assess results, exchange insights, and identify future priorities for the sector. A particular emphasis was placed on regional collaboration through Hydrogen Valleys, demonstrating how innovation at local and regional levels accelerated Europe’s clean hydrogen transition.
High-level representatives from the European Commission, industry, and research organisations shared insights on the latest advances in Europe and beyond.

Celebrating Excellence
The Clean Hydrogen Partnership once again recognised its leading projects and beneficiaries for their outstanding achievements at the Awards Ceremony on 24 November 2025.
This annual event celebrated excellence in hydrogen research and innovation, honouring the people and projects that drive Europe’s clean energy transition.
The Awards included the following categories:
- Best Success Story and Best Innovation – winners chosen by public vote
- Best Outreach
- European H2 Valley of the Year
- Women in H2 Innovation Award
Each category highlighted exceptional accomplishments contributing to the growth of a sustainable hydrogen economy across Europe.
